NSI SL3 Hook & Loop Backers

All the NSI Hook & Loop backers are designed to lock into the red SL3 adapter.  They're constructed with high quality hook & loop and superior adhesives for long lasting durability.  All required machining is accomplished in house and they are hand assemble and trimmed to our high standards.  Each backer has a specific purpose and many were developed in conjunction with stone fabrication and restoration experts. Also called backup pads, backing pads and backup heads.

3″ FOAM Padded hook & loop backer (3.0″ actual diameter):

• A semi-soft foam rubber pad allows this backer to conform to contours.
• When combined with a 4" resin pad (a well worn pad works best), this will be your best Ogee polisher and conforms to a tight inside corner radius just as well.
• 3/8″ of semi-soft foam padding under the “hook” to allow flex into contours.

3″ RIGID Plastic hook & loop backer (3.0″ actual diameter):

• We use this to drive the small center portion of the natural blend tan fiber pad or cut down resin pads in restricted areas.
• Can be used with 3″ turbos, 3" resin pads, or small fiber pads
• This is the 3″ backer we provide in our top polish kit.

4″ Flexible hook & loop backer (3.6″ actual diameter to fit 4″ resin abrasives):

• When combined with a 4" resin pad (a well worn pad works best) this is the perfect attachment to polish inside radius corners and inside curved sink cutouts.
• Intended for use with a flexible 4″ resin pad to polish smooth inside curves
• Perfect for polishing inside curves on sink cutouts

4″ RIGID Plastic hook & loop backer (3.8″ actual diameter to fit 4″ resin abrasive):

• Locks into the SL3 Snail Lock Adapter
• Designed with a “hook” face for use with hook & loop style abrasives
• Perfect size for edge polishing – the slightly smaller diameter allows a 4″ resin pad to roll over the edge slightly creating a smooth transition into inside corners

True 4″ FOAM Padded hook & loop backer (4.0″ actual diameter):

• These have a semi-soft foam rubber pad and were developed in conjunction with James Lang of Surface Savers.  He uses these in his Quartz Repair classes.
• Machined flat for smooth running
  
• 1/4″ of semi-soft foam padding under the “hook” to provide cushion
• Designed specifically for quartz restoration specialists

True 4″ RIGID Plastic hook & loop backer (4.0″ actual diameter to fit 4″ resin abrasives):

• This a TRUE 4" backer and is the perfect size for top polishing with Resin pads 
• Keeps a 4" resin pad perfectly flat to avoid any haze around the perimeter of a polished area. 
• This is the one provided in the NSI top polishing kits.
• Machined flat for smooth running
  
• Use with Alpha Ceramica resin pads for great top polishing results

5″ RIGID Plastic hook & loop backer (4.8″ actual diameter):

• The basic size for 5" resin pads when refurbishing floors.
• Machined flat for smooth running

7″ FOAM Padded hook & loop backer  (6.8″ actual diameter):

• These have a semi-soft foam rubber pad and were developed in conjunction with James Lang of Surface Savers.  He uses these in his Quartz Repair classes.
• Machined flat for smooth running

7″ RIGID Plastic hook & loop backer (6.8″ actual diameter):

• Use this for 7" Natural Blend Tan Fiber Pads and other hogs hair or abrasive pads
