The Samurai ST-235 is the industry standard pneumatic water polisher.  Made in Japan it is a superior quality tool compared with the others in the market.  If you liked the Barranca polisher, then this is the polisher for you. The Samurai is made in the same factory where the Barranca was produced.

Tips to increase life of the Samurai ST-235 air polisher:

1. Use air tool oil. 1-2 drops for every 8-10 hours use.
2. Hang the tool vertically to drain when not in use.
3. Compressed air creates moisture. Install drain ports in the low areas of the air line to collect moisture. Use an inline drier if possible.
4. Keep the pressure close to the PSI level rated on the tool. Exceeding 100 PSI will prematurely wear the internal components. Higher PSI does not increase the rpm or power of the tool.
5. Optimum speed for polishing is 3000-3600 RPM. Use backer heads in good condition. Worn out backer heads will not hold the polish pads and they may fly off causing injury.
6. DO NOT USE THE ST-235 POLISHER FOR CUTTING, GRINDING OR CORE DRILLING. While a diamond core bit, blade and cup wheel may fit on this air polisher, we do not recommend using them on this tool. Both the RPM and torque are inadequate to keep new diamonds exposed on the tools diamond segments or rim.  Thus, the tools will glaze (become dull) prematurely and stop working. This will also cause undo stress on the ST-325 and cause premature failure of the air polisher. We recommend the ST-358 air grinder for these applications.
7. Always wear protective clothing including safety glasses, ear plugs and a N95 mask.
